Terms of use
The agreement between you and us: what you can expect from Nessie, what we expect from you, and what the cuttability checks do and do not promise.

1.These terms
By using Nessie you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
2.Your account
You need an account to use the studio. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, give us an address you can actually receive mail at, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account.
You are responsible for what happens under your account.
3.Your designs stay yours
You own the panels you draw. Nothing here transfers that.
You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your designs, show them back to you, and display them to other people if you choose to share or post them. We do not claim a license beyond that, we do not sell your work, and we do not use it to train anything.
4.The community
Anything you post in the forum is public. The house rules are short and we enforce them: assume the person asking is doing their best, show your work, credit patterns that are not yours, keep selling to its own board, and never leave unsafe advice standing.
We can remove posts or accounts that break those rules, or that are unlawful, abusive, or someone else's work passed off as your own.
5.The checks are guidance, not a guarantee
Nessie warns you when a shape looks impossible to cut, when a piece is too thin to hold, or when a curve is tighter than glass will take. Those checks are an aid to judgment, not a substitute for it.
Glass is sharp and kilns are hot. You are responsible for your own safety at the bench, for the tools you use, and for deciding whether a design is sensible to cut. Came estimates in particular are approximate, and the app says so where it shows them.
6.The shop
Ordering is not live on the site yet. The basket totals up what you want and sends it to us as an enquiry; nothing is ordered, reserved or charged at that point.
A sale only exists once we have invoiced you and you have paid. Prices shown are in US dollars and can change before an invoice is raised.
7.Availability
Nessie is under active development. Features change, and occasionally break. We do not promise the site will be available without interruption, and we may change or withdraw parts of it.
We will not delete your panels to make a change easier.
8.Our side of the site
The Nessie name, the site, its code and its artwork belong to us. The glass catalog shows manufacturers' own products, and their names and images belong to them.
9.Liability
Nessie is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost work, lost profit, wasted glass, or damage arising from your use of the site.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
10.Ending it
You can close your account whenever you like, from Settings, Security. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless there is a legal reason not to.
11.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Colorado, United States, and disputes belong to its courts.
12.Contact
